1. Who we are

Taktika Events (registered as TAKTIKA) plans and produces corporate, private, and public events in the Philippines. In this policy, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Taktika Events.

We follow the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and the issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC). As the personal information controller, we are responsible for the data described here.

Our Data Protection Officer is the Management of Taktika Events, reachable at info@taktikaevents.com.

2. Data we collect

From our Meta (Facebook and Instagram) lead forms

When you fill in one of our instant forms, we receive:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Event type (wedding, corporate event, debut, and so on)
  • Event date
  • Guest count
  • Estimated budget

From other ways you reach us

We also receive whatever you choose to share when you message us on Messenger, call or text us, fill in the inquiry form on our website, or email us directly. This usually includes your name, contact details, and the details of the event you have in mind.

From your visit to our website

When you browse https://taktikaevents.com, basic technical data may be collected through cookies and the Meta Pixel, such as pages viewed, approximate location from your IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. See Section 11 for details.

We do not ask for sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers, health records, or financial account details through our forms. Please do not send these to us in a message or form.

3. How we use your data

  • Checking whether your preferred event date is available
  • Preparing and sending package rates, quotations, and proposals
  • Following up on your inquiry by call, SMS, Messenger, or email, and answering your questions
  • Managing your booking, suppliers, and event schedule if you push through
  • Keeping records of transactions as required by law
  • Improving our advertising. We send lead status data back to Meta through the Conversions API so our ads reach people more like our real clients. Contact details sent this way are hashed — scrambled into a code that cannot be read as your actual email or phone number — before they leave our systems.

We do not use your data for automated decisions that produce legal effects on you, and we do not profile you beyond the advertising use described above.

4. Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data on two grounds under RA 10173:

  • Consent. You give it when you submit a lead form, send us an inquiry, or otherwise contact us about an event.
  • Legitimate interest. Running and improving our events business, including responding to inquiries, preventing fraud and spam submissions, and measuring whether our advertising works. We balance this against your rights and stop if your interests outweigh ours.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. See Section 8.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • Meta Platforms, Inc. As the provider of the lead forms and advertising tools we use, Meta processes form submissions and receives hashed conversion data.
  • Google (Google Workspace and Google Sheets). We use Google services to receive, store, and organize inquiries.
  • Event suppliers and trusted service providers. Only when it is needed to deliver an event you booked — for example, a venue that needs a final guest count, or a caterer that needs the schedule. We share the minimum needed, and only after you have engaged us.
  • Government authorities. When we are legally required to disclose, such as tax records or a lawful order.

Some of these providers store data on servers outside the Philippines. When that happens, we rely on their contractual commitments to protect your data at a level comparable to what RA 10173 requires.

6. Storage and security

Inquiries are stored in access-restricted Google Sheets and our internal CRM. Access is limited to authorized Taktika Events staff who need it to respond to you or run your event. Accounts are protected by passwords and, where available, two-step verification.

We take reasonable organizational, physical, and technical measures to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach happens that puts you at real risk of serious harm, we will notify you and the National Privacy Commission as required by law.

7. How long we keep data

  • Inquiries that do not become bookings: up to two (2) years from our last contact with you, after which we delete or anonymize them.
  • Booking and transaction records: kept for as long as the law requires, including the record-keeping periods set by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and other applicable regulations.

You may ask us to delete your data earlier. See Section 8.

8. Your rights under RA 10173

As a data subject, you have the right to:

  • Be informed that your data is being collected and processed, and why
  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Object to processing, including direct marketing
  • Erasure or blocking — ask us to remove or suspend your data
  • Rectification — correct data that is wrong or out of date
  • Data portability — get an electronic copy of your data
  • Damages for violations of your rights under the law
  • File a complaint with the National Privacy Commission

How to exercise them

Email info@taktikaevents.com with your request and enough detail for us to find your records (the name, email, or phone number you used). We may ask you to verify your identity so we do not release data to the wrong person. We respond within fifteen (15) business days.

If you are not satisfied with how we handled your request, you may bring it to the National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph.

9. Opting out of marketing messages

You can stop marketing messages from us at any time. Reply STOP to any SMS or Messenger message from us, or email info@taktikaevents.com and tell us to remove you.

We will still send you messages about an event you have actually booked with us, since we need those to deliver your event.

10. Minors

We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 without the consent of a parent or guardian. This matters for debut and birthday inquiries: if the celebrant is a minor, a parent or guardian should be the one to submit the inquiry and deal with us.

If you believe a minor has given us personal data without that consent, email info@taktikaevents.com and we will delete it.

11. Cookies and website tracking

Our website uses cookies — small files stored by your browser — and the Meta Pixel, a piece of code that tells Meta which pages you viewed and whether you submitted our inquiry form. We use this to measure whether our ads work and to show ads to people who are likely to be interested in our services.

You can control this yourself:

  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings
  • Adjust what Meta shows you in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences and off-Facebook activity settings

Blocking cookies may affect how parts of our website behave, but you can still reach us by email, phone, or Messenger.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, tools, or legal obligations change. The “Last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version. For significant changes, we will make the update visible on this page. Please check back from time to time.
